Note : This interview was found on a blog on internet. I can't guaranty its origin nor its authenticity, but the answers are quite funny…
When have you already died ?
EK : Each time I shoot a movie. But I died twice on the shooting of Underground. I reborn each time I finish the film. There is no death, only a migration.
What makes you rise in the morning ?
EK : When I'm in town, a bad news. When I'm in Kustendorf, the sound of the horses running under my window.
What did your child's dreams become ?
EK : I put them in my films.
What distinguish you from the other ?
EK : A big head and small legs.
Do you miss something ?
EK : A nuclear weapon.
Do you think anyone can be an artist ?
EK : Of course, many of my actors have never been an actor before nor after being in my films.
Where do you come from ?
EK : From the desert, even if I'm not a bedooin.
Do you think your life is enviable ?
EK : Yes. For someone who wants to commit suicide.
What have you renounced to ?
EK : To the Honolulu islands.
What do you do with your money ?
EK : I build my own city, Kustendorf. I'm the owner and the mayor. I choose the citizens and not the contrary. It's an antidemocratic zone.
What housework duty do you hate most ?
EK : All of them.
What would you like to have for your birthday ?
EK : A new bulldozer.
Tell three living artists you hate.
EK : All those who are employed by the Hollywood brain washing machine.
What do you defend ?
EK : It's better to be freely inactive than to work for nothing.
What can you refuse ?
EK : The state.
What part of your body is the most fragile ?
EK : The soul.
What were you able to do for love ?
EK : Everything. When you're in love, 80 % of the brain doesn't work.
What do people reproach to you ?
EK : Noise.
Why art ?
EK : I make money of it.
Write your epitaph.
EK : “This man lies here, where life has no price, but death yes.”
How would you like to come back ?
EK : I don't want to come back.
